Illusion V superyacht by Benetti

Completed and launched earlier this year, the Illusion V superyacht is a 58m four-decked steel and aluminium displacement motor yacht built at Benetti’s Livorno shipyard with exterior styling and interior design by Green & Mingarelli.

Exterior Design

The exterior styling and furnishings are the work of the talented designer duo Green & Mingarelli who worked closely with the Benetti in house team to create what can only be described as a masterpiece of design and one of the most impressive yachts to come out of the Benetti yard to date.

When stepping on board the Illusion V superyacht, guests are greeted on the spacious Main Aft Deck which offers a vast U-shaped sofa/ seating area with large coffee table and comfortable lounge chairs, alongside which there is a full bar.

Aft there is a wonderful beach area with full bar that is fitted out to the same high standards of the interior and exterior guest areas. The beach club area offers discreet yet easy access to the tender garage and watersports equipment which can be launched via a lateral hull door.

The Illusion V superyacht also features an outstanding Upper and Sun deck, ideal for both informal and formal entertaining.

The Upper deck offers dining for 14, a full bar and deep full width built in sofas for lounging across the aft end. The adjacent saloon is an enormous area. Full width, it offers spectacular views, a full bar, three deep sofas, a 75” TV, and a smaller, more casual dining table for six.

The Sun deck  is one of the most impressive decks to be found on a yacht of this size. Forward lies the impressive pebble lined pool with surrounding sunbeds and full bar, barbeque and a large low level lounging/ dining area, all of which is protected by the surrounding glass windbreak screen.

Centrally located is the indoor/outdoor Veranda  area which can be either fully or partially closed and air conditioned or fully open to connect both forward and aft areas as one. The covered Veranda offers dining for 12 and a 72” daylight non-reflective TV.

Easily deployable umbrellas offer shade when required both forward and aft.

Interior Design

For the Illusion V superyacht, Green & Mingarelli have created a magnificent interior and the theme throughout is dominated by a rose emblem, which has been incorporated in the stone, leather panels, fabrics and woodwork along with the Lalique crystal inlays.

Upon entry into the Illusion V superyacht, guests are welcomed by plush seating area and separate dining area. This area also boasts a full bar. Here, guests can enjoy breathtaking views thanks to the lowered exterior bulwarks and full height windows which run the entire length of the lounge area.

On the lower deck forward of the engine room, the Illusion V superyacht, boasts five guest staterooms comprising a full width VIP, a further double cabin and three twin cabins (one with a Pullman berth), all of which are ensuite. There is also a further convertible twin cabin / movie room on the upper deck adjacent to the upper saloon.

In total the Illusion V superyacht is able to offer flexible accommodation for up to 12 guests in 15 berths.

The Illusion V superyacht features an outstanding VIP suite. Its layout takes full advantage of almost eleven meters of beam. The spectacular bathroom is placed parallel to the vessels side, offering a priceless view from oversized rectangular hull portholes.

But our heartstopper is Illusion V superyacht‘s Owner Suite. It comprises a private lounge/movie area, full width cabin with king sized bed and 75” HD TV, ‘his and hers’ dressing rooms and adjoining full width ‘his and hers’ bathroom. The latter is entirely finished in white Onyx throughout including solid Onyx basins, bath, and shower.

Just one of the many details that make Illusion V so special are the custom finished pale rose gold faucet, which can be found in all the guest bathrooms on board. Another characteristic of the Owner’s suite, is the movie room located forward of the main saloon that can be converted into a double stateroom with ease or simply used as a small saloon/ private relaxing area.

The beautiful Illusion V superyacht has an European owner, who reportedly intends to use her privately, as well as making it available for charter.
