Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo Concept revealed

Mercedes-Benz never disappoints when it comes to car concepts, which is why we were not at all surprised by the magnificence of the new Vision Tokyo Concept.
This futuristic-looking vehicle features one of the most impressive designs that we’ve seen in a long time, and better yet, it is packed with cutting-edge technology.
Some of its most impressive features include an Intelligent Predictive Engine system and Deep Machine Learning technology, both of which allow the car to “learn” its drivers’ habits and preferences. This means that the four-wheeler becomes familiar with its occupants as time goes by. As far as power goes, Mercedes outfitted the concept with an electric engine and a hydrogen fuel cell that ensures a range of over 965km (600 miles).

The body of the car is simply superb, but even more eye-catching are the stunning blue details that adorn its front bumper, rear bumper, wheels and side skirts. These blue touches contrast nicely with the bright red light that surrounds the rear window. Presumably, this red element also functions as a brake light.

The aircraft cabin has been showcased by Mercedes-Benz Style and Lufthansa Technik at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibit (EBACE) in Geneva.

Mercedes-Benz Presents Concept GLC Coupé

In a flowing transition, Mercedes-Benz lands the next coupé: the Concept GLC Coupé is a near-production-standard study that carries the successful GLE Coupé formula over into a more compact segment.
The dynamically expressive show car combines typical stylistic features of a coupé with the sensually pure design idiom of coming SUV generations. This emotively appealing fusion is further enriched with details that are strong in character. A twin-blade radiator grille, powerdomes on the bonnet and a four-pipe exhaust system form an aesthetic contrast to the harmonious, almost organic main body section. On the other hand, elements from the rugged off-road world, such as enormous 21-inch tyres, front and rear underbody protection, increased ground clearance and side running boards, are indicative of the off-road performance potential of the Concept GLC Coupé.

The same successful blend of the multifunctional SUV and the emotively appealing coupé world of Mercedes-Benz that was so enthusiastically welcomed with the GLE Coupé is now repeated with the Concept GLC Coupé. However, the near-production-standard show car inhabits a more compact segment, as demonstrated by the external length of 4.73-metres and the 2.83-metre wheelbase. These two dimensions, together with the striking and muscular main body section, elongated greenhouse and large 21-inch wheels, provide an ideal basis for the typical, almost dramatic proportions of the sportily youthful coupé generation with the characteristic off-road touch.

Mercedes-Benz F-015 First Self-Driving Luxury Automobile

Though it will probably deter auto enthusiasts committed to the thrill of being in control of a powerful vehicle, The Mercedes-Benz F-015 “Luxury in Motion,” introduced Monday at the Consumer Electronics Show, is a dream come true for lovers of luxury.
If one is looking for a bit more convenience and relaxation in their lives, this is the car they have been waiting for. The F-015 eliminates the need for driving altogether. That’s right, this is the first self-driving luxury automobile. A new era in luxury automotive is upon us.

Autonomous driving as a technological concept is itself difficult for one to comprehend, but Mercedes employs a new and revolutionary idea in conjunction with the technology: “Anyone who focuses solely on the technology hasn’t yet grasped how autonomous driving will change our society,” says Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars Dr. Dieter Zetsche, “The car is growing beyond its role as a mere means of transport and will ultimately become a mobile living space.”
This is a game-changing idea in the world of luxury. This vehicle will not just be a nifty and stylish means of transportation between point A and point B, but an actually desirable place to inhabit. The car brings a new level of comfort to the user by offering maximum space and lounge accessories in the automobile’s interior.

The car’s look may prove jarring to some; it has a purposefully futuristic exterior that looks straight out of some dystopian sci-fi film. Design nuts on the other hand will be watering at the mouth. The look of the car is sharp and difficult to ignore. One needn’t know the revolutionary idea behind the vehicle to see it and instantly know that it is something different. The exterior design perfectly fits the automobile’s concept.
The interior of the car looks like a scaled-back version of a luxury jet’s cabin: beautiful, spacious, relaxing and chalk full of luxurious amenities. Instead of sitting in the car and thinking to yourself, “What am I paying this driver for?” as you check your watch and eagerly await your arrival, you’ll have no such driver to worry about paying.  You can relax, drink and watch old movies on the built-in flatscreen. The windows of the vehicles are screens where you can access the internet. It’s like traveling in the comfort of your personal office.

At the press conference held in celebration of the car, Mercedes assuaged much of the worries surrounding the F-015 and autonomous driving technology in general. How will this car react in traffic? Really well, apparently. Bright blue lights along the front grille turns on signaling to pedestrians that the vehicle has “seen you.” It even can display a fake crosswalk on the street.

“The car of the future is really good looking, smart, polite, and helpful,” says Zetsche.

Despite the astounding technology, stunning exterior design and unparalleled comfort of the Mercedes-Benz F-015 “Luxury In Motion,” the vehicle still may prove difficult to market. Luxury auto enthusiasts are auto enthusiasts after all. The thrill of being in control of a powerful vehicle, like a Ferrari, is the ultimate allure of expensive cars. But one can’t help but think of the F-015 as a game-changer. It should prove particularly appealing to high-level executives working in crowded cities. Instead of being chauffeured by a driver and limousine, they will now be able to travel in their own mobile offices. One giant step towards automotive’s future has been taken.

Mercedes-Benz Aria Concept by Slavche Tanevski

This superb Mercedes-Benz concept was made by Slavche Tanevski , a Macedonian design student at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany. It was actually made for his Bachelor Thesis and his intention was to make a car with a timeless design. For this he found inspiration in things that are always beautiful, like musical instruments, hair flying in the wind, the female body and even the Coke bottle.

The Aria Concept was born at the Mercedes-Benz Design Studio as an electric vehicle for 2030. Here the automaker’s designers and design chiefs made sure that every detail was meticulously respected. The spacious interior of the car is defined by modularity, as it is not welded to the exterior, but inserted into the car separately. We would really love to see a beauty like this roaming the streets of our 2030 world.
